Did anyone recieve thier taxact deposit on time?

I filed online for free through taxact about 2 weeks ago and I'm scheduled for my direct deposit tomorrow and was wondering if anyone has received theirs on time ... ?|||I didn't file through tax act but I did efile and I received my direct deposit on time. If you go to www.irs.gov and click "where's my refund" it should tell you that your direct deposit is set to process tomorrow. Hope this helps.|||Quite a bit of people have been on here complaining that even though checks go out on Friday's they are not getting their checks.





I suspect that the banks are holding the check for 1 or 2 extra days.


Think about it - if they hold it for everyone - that's a lot of cash in interest for the bank.





Another suspcision I have is that the IRS has gotten tough.


And told banks not to post the checks until they clear.


So many people see that check pending on their account and then think they can immediately go out and spend it.


They don't know - I guess - a check has to clear.


So maybe the feds are making the banks hold on to the checks for "those people" that tend to overdraft.


/|||It depends more on the IRS and your bank than TaxAct. Once it gets sent to the IRS, that's where their involvement in the process ends.|||I revcieved mine on time. So did everyone I know too.
